Despite the current challenges in our world and our society, next week we celebrate the great gift of Christmas, a time of profound joy. The same radiant beams that lit a manger in Bethlehem and announced to the world that a Savior was born must enlighten and guide us on our path. The virtues and good things we practice at Christmas must continue. Our spiritual life and desire to be reconciled with God must remain our highest priorities. We must stand always ready to forgive one another. Our charity to the needy and those who are sick and lonely must never end. The joy and hope that are ours at this time of year must continue to shine forth for others to see. Dear friends, may Our Lord Jesus bless you with his peace this coming week, throughout the New Year, and always. Merry Christmas to you and your families.
