During this period of Christmas preparation, we need to be diligent in avoiding those times when we sense we are becoming impatient, impulsive, and anxious. Whether it be in our daily life or our spiritual life, we should practice patience in all things. Be patient with yourself as God is patient with you, always ready to forgive you and allow you to begin anew. In turn, be patient with others, especially with those you love—be there to constantly reassure and encourage them when needed. And be patient as you carry out your daily works, responsibilities, and obligations. You may not see immediate results, but God will never allow the seeds you planted to be in vain. They will produce abundant fruit—in God’s time, not ours.
