Our risen Lord Jesus said to his disciples and to us: “Peace, I leave you.” We experience his peace when we live in right relationship with God, ourselves, and others.
Peace is ours when we follow God’s ways and commands and live in accord with his holy will. Peace is ours when we recognize and treat ourselves as temples of God’s spirit and, thus, take care of ourselves physically, spiritually, and emotionally.
Peace is ours when we treat one another as brothers and sisters in Christ, respecting, loving, and serving them and letting go of any grudges, bitterness, and resentment.
Live in right relationship with God, yourself, and others and you will experience a precious gift from the Lord, the One who says: “Peace, I leave you.”
